Community Relations Internship
Number of Positions: Two during season, one during off-season
Position Summary: Please send a resume, brief cover letter and a one-page personal statement outlining why you want to work with the Pacers in Community Relations and what qualities you feel you can offer the organization. Make sure you indicate in your cover letter which period you are interested in applying for.

When to Apply: We will accept applications year-round. However, we suggest you submit a formal application at least six months prior to the period for which you are applying. Qualified candidates will be contacted by phone to set up a formal interview.
What to Expect: Applications will be kept on file until two months before the start of an internship period. At that time, approximately 6-8 people will be selected to come in at their own expense for the interview process, 3-4 weeks prior to the start of the internship program. Finalists will be contacted by phone to schedule an interview, please indicate an accurate phone number on your resume.
Criteria & Qualifications:
1. Current undergraduate or graduate student
2. Organizational Skills
3. Strong written and verbal skills
4. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings
5. Marketing, sports administration, communications, or related business majors preferred
6. Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple tasks in a timely manner
7. Strong creativity and computer skills
8. Some experience in special events planning
9. Detail Oriented
Responsibilities:
1. General office duties
2. Assist in the coordination and implementation of community relations programs
3. Assist in coordination of internal autograph sessions
4. Work all home game nights (during your internship) and assist Community Relations department with implementation of game day/night elements
5. Report on and research information pertaining to Community Relations
6. Assist other front office departments as needed
