Corporate Partnerships Internship
Number of Positions: 1-2 Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters
Position Summary: Interns in the corporate partnerships area will assist with sponsor activities and events including receptions, game night entertainment, etc. Interns will also initiate, implement, and complete a project designed to solve a problem or create an opportunity in the sponsorship sales and promotions area.
Hours Required: A minimum of 20 hours per week

When to Apply: We will accept applications year-round. However, we suggest you submit your formal application at least 2-3 months prior to the period for which you are applying. Qualified candidates will be contacted by phone to set up a formal interview.
What to Expect: These positions are unpaid and students must be receiving college credit. Approximately 6-8 people will be selected to come in at their own expense for the interview process, 3-4 weeks prior to the start of the internship program. Criteria & Qualifications:
1. Business, sports marketing, or sales related major
2. Students must be receiving college credit to be selected for an internship
3. Strong communications skills
4. Creative
5. Self-Starter
6. Well-organized and strong computer knowledge
7. Enthusiasm for sales
Responsibilities
1. Initiate, implement, and complete a project that applies some knowledge of a problem or opportunity currently confronting the sales department. This project must be significant and have an ongoing practical value to the Pacers following the completion of the internship.
2. Assist with sponsor activities and events, including receptions, game night entertainment, etc.
3. Attend 2-3 out of office calls with an account executive and possibly attend one with the Director of Sponsorship Sales
4. Assist in brainstorming, planning, and implementation of sponsor-related promotions and sales proposals
5. General office duties - data entry, answering phones, copying, filing, faxing, collating, and distributing departmental information
