Database Marketing Intern Position

Number of Positions: 1 Fall, Spring and Summer Semesters

Position Summary: The database marketing intern assists the e-Marketing and Database Services Manager in four areas: (1) E-mail marketing, (2) database marketing, (3) database management and (4) market research. The intern will create, track, and report all e-mail campaigns. S/he will be responsible for preparing the executive summary for all e-mail campaigns, including the "Pacers Insider", "Fever Flash" and "Conseco Fieldhouse First".

What to Expect: These positions are unpaid and students must be receiving college credit. Approximately 6-8 people will be selected to come in, at their own expense, for the interview process, 3-4 weeks prior to the start of the internship program. Criteria & Qualifications:

  1. Required technical skill sets: Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel and Access
  2. Preferred technical skill sets: HTML-Adobe Photoshop-Dreamweaver
  3. Other required skill set: Comprehension of database marketing and e-mail marketing/familiarity with Do Not Call and CAN-SPAM laws

Responsibilities

  1. Reporting e-mail marketing efforts as well as Interactive department projects
  2. Coordinating the data file input and upload process
  3. Leveraging game-night promotional efforts to drive database growth
  4. Assist Ticket Systems Manager with her responsibilities including: maintaining the database, working with Ticketmaster-related marketing efforts and developing marketing reports
