Fever Video Intern Position

Number of Positions: 1 Summer Semester

Position Summary: This internship will assist in the recordings of the Indiana Fever practices for Fever coaching staff. Interns will assist with the basic edits and maintenance of tape stock and video room. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows is required; must be eager to learn and operate various digital editing equipment; and basketball/coaching experience is a plus. Fever video interns must be available to assist with Indiana Fever home games and therefore must be flexible with schedule (working weekends).

Hours Required: 20-30 hours per week

What to Expect: These positions are unpaid and students must be receiving college credit. Approximately 6-8 people will be selected to come in, at their own expense, for the interview process 3-4 weeks prior to start of the internship program. Criteria & Qualifications:

0. Must be available for all Indiana Fever home games
0. Must receive college credit
0. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft/Windows programs
0. Excellent attitude
0. Ability to take on multiple tasks at once
0. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
0. Eager and able to learn to operate various VCRs and digital editing equipment
0. Flexible schedule (including weekends) is a must
0. Basketball/coaching background is a plus

Responsibilities:

0. Record Indiana Fever practices for the coaching staff
0. Utilize computer programs to retrieve statistics for use in scouting reports and other areas of team or opponent analysis
0. Assist in recording of WNBA games for scouting purposes
0. Assist the Video Coordinator in basic edits for the basketball staff
0. Maintenance of Fever video room and tape stock
