Game Operations Intern Position

Number of Positions: 3-4 Full Season (September-May) 4 Summer Semester

Position Summary: Interns in Game Operations will assist in the coordination of talent bookings for Pacers and/or Fever home games; assist with the Pacers and Fever mascots on their appearances; assist with invoicing and contracts as necessary for appearances and talent bookings; and assist in coordination and on-floor execution of game timeouts, contests, game activities and events prior to, during, and after games.

Hours Required: 20-30 hours per week

What to Expect: These positions are unpaid and students must be receiving college credit. Criteria & Qualifications:

  1. Excellent phone skills
  2. Excellent computer skills; specifically Microsoft Word
  3. Detail oriented
  4. Able to deal with internal and external clients in a professional manner
  5. Marketing; sports marketing; or related business major
  6. Excellent writing skills
  7. Able to keep track of multiple calendars

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the coordination of talent bookings; contracts and invoices as they pertain to our NBA and WNBA mascots
  2. Assist Mascots in their appearances
  3. General office duties
  4. Assist in coordination and on floor execution of game timeouts; contests; game activities and events prior to; during; and after the game
  5. Will sit in on all Game Operations meetings; as well as marketing meetings. Interns will be given various assignments and projects to work on including; but not limited to; interaction and information exchange with other NBA and WNBA teams.
